Volkswagen (VW) wants complete control of truck manufacturer MAN, which is the largest shareholder.

That made the largest carmaker in Europe Wednesday.

VW has already more than three quarters of the shares in MAN hands and offers to buy the rest. The company plans to hold discussions with the Executive Board of MAN to discuss further integration of the truck maker in the VW group.

The cooperation with Scania, the other truck brand which VW holds a majority stake, will be strengthened.
