Updated Official images of the BMW 3 series GT show up in the internet

[Updated] Official images of the BMW 3-series GT show up in the internet
-

The pictures do look real and are similar to what we had already seen in spy photos. The Gran Turismo has, like the 5-Series, a higher and larger rear section that will take some time to fully appreciate it, and while we didnt expect any changes in the front it features an updated grille and new bumpers.

The 5-Series GT was considered a flop, it didnt sell what BMW was expecting and pretty much the public did not like the weird rear section. But it seems BMW isnt giving up on this idea. The new car is 200 millimeters longer, 110 millimetre longer wheelbase and stands 81 millimeters taller than the Touring
The engines will be the same available on the rest of the 3-Series range, and the public presentation will happen at the Geneva Motor Show in a few weeks. Below we have the normal GT and the M Sports Package.

BMW i8 plug-in hybrid
Set to be a production reality and on sale in the UK by 2013, this alternatively-powered range-topper, the BMW i8, made its bow at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

When we got our Frankfurt tickets, one of main priorities was to get you a glimpse of BMW’s electric car for the future. For more dynamic driving or out-of-town routes, a high-performance three-cylinder petrol engine also comes into play. The sports car has an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h and space for up to four occupants.

The 349 horsepower hybrid has nearly 80 mpg fuel consumption. A lithium-ion battery pack works simultaneously with the three-pot works in tandem and front-mounted electric motor pulled from the i3 and driving the front wheels. Also the i8 has a perfect 50/50 weight distribution, measuring 4632mm in length, 1955mm in width and 1280mm in height, comparable to the 3 Series coupe in dimensions.

DBS Carbon Edition
DBS Carbon Edition
Aston Martin revealed its new DBS Carbon Edition at the Frankfurt motor show, wearing a flashy new Flame Orange paint job. Flame Orange and Ceramic Grey will be two new color options on the car, as well as the original Carbon Black. Aston Martin  says the cars undergo a 25-hour hand-polish finish that results in the deep, glassy finish. The coupe sits on 10-spoke gloss-black, diamond-turned wheels with calipers in red, orange, yellow or gray. Hand-laid carbon fiber surrounds the dashboard.

Aston Martin unveiled two new sports cars at the Frankfurt Motor show following the successful DBS Carbon Black. The 2011 edition comes in striking Flame Orange and Ceramic Grey colors. Carbon DBS sports 10-spoke wheels available in full gloss black, glass diamond black or a reversed diamond turned finish.

Changes are absolutely minimal; 10 spoke gloss black diamond wheels, a quilted leather headliner and the option of either orange or black leather upholstery. Outside, Carbon Black, Flame Orange or Ceramic Grey are the paint choices.
